Shift Manager Opportunity at a Renowned Steelwork Provider

We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead warehouse operations for the afternoon shift at a nationally renowned steelwork company. This is a permanent position offering a 4-day working week, 33 days holiday, a 4% matched pension, an annual bonus, and other attractive benefits. Working hours: Mon – Thurs, 10:30 am – 9:00 pm.

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting salary: £38,000 + annual bonus
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient receipt and dispatch of materials
• Follow Health & Safety legislation and promote safe working practices
• Assist in planning warehouse resources to meet demands
• Support operations by managing incoming materials, delivery notes, and test certificates
• Assist the QESH Manager in quality checks
• Maintain stock control and traceability
• Apply modern manufacturing techniques, including Lean manufacturing
• Lead a shift with limited supervision, maintaining safety, productivity, and discipline standards
• Experience in Slinging & Crane Handling
• Hold an up-to-date Fork-lift Truck Licence & Side Loader Certificate
• Conduct risk assessments and create safe working practices (ideally IOSH certified)
