We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a PRODUCTION MANAGER.

A Kings Award-winning business has a need for a Production Manager to ensure products are manufactured to the correct quality and Health and Safety guidelines.

Location: Commutable from Standish, Chorley, Wigan, Leigh, Bolton, Skelmersdale, Horwich, St Helens, Ormskirk, Middlebrook, and Makerfield.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily plant operations with the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing performance, providing monthly reports to senior leadership.
  • Ensure production plans are met, resolving bottlenecks or delays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
  • Manage and support production supervisors and indirect reports.
  • Address production-related queries and resolve issues.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across the operation.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Review and update SOPs and process guidelines regularly.
  • Review quality incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in production management, preferably in manufacturing or chemicals.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach with focus on safety and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
