Job description

Production Manager
Up to £55,000

Monday to Thursday 7:15am – 4:55pm (Friday occasionally)

This role is working with a world-leader in the manufacturing of identification solutions for industries such as chemicals, horticulture, and construction. With over 80 years of heritage and experience, we're looking for someone to help drive the business forward within our Production department and assist us in our next stage of growth.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of people and processes within the production department.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ensuring company targets and objectives are met whilst ensuring that staff comply with Health & Safety rules at all times.
  2. Working daily with Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Sales to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  3. Leading the production process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while optimising resource utilisation and minimising costs.
  4. Direction and management of resources for production priorities to ensure they are accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

Required experience includes:

  1. Non-conformance and root cause analysis investigations.
  2. Mentoring and development of high performing teams.
  3. Lean Principle identification and process improvement.
  4. Print industry experience would be advantageous.
