Job Purpose

From the Olympic Games, to the Euros, The Open to the 6 Nations Rugby, BBC Sport Scotland is at the heart of Sport's major events. BBC Sport Scotland are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced PMA for their busy department. The successful candidate will be working across this multi-platform department - spanning Radio, Digital and TV content. Our content includes BBC Radio Scotland's flagship radio programme "Sportsound", award-winning podcasts like "Confessions of a Match Fixer", together with our Digital team, including social media and streaming. You will work with the PC and PM on this content and collaborate with the PM team working on the football OB's and Sportscene programmes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will provide logistical and administration support to multi-platform production teams across the output, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Candidate must be able to use their own initiative, be proactive and work well within different teams/genres. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll work in partnership with editorial colleagues to deliver outstanding multi-platform content that BBC Sport Scotland is renowned for, by providing creative ways to realise editorial ambitions within operational and financial constraints.

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience

You will have experience working within a production team, as a PMA. You will be motivated and confident in using your own initiative and instinct. You should be flexible in your approach to new ways of working and adopting new technologies. You will exhibit acute attention to detail across all aspects of the production process. You will be experienced in using MyBusiness, Silvermouse, and have an understanding of the rights process - across TV and Online, and in contracting key talent. An interest in Sustainability would be a bonus. A flexible attitude to working some Saturdays would be helpful to gain experience about what we do.
