Job summary

DS Smith Europe is recruiting a Machine Operative on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will operate production machinery, drive efficiencies, and maintain quality across the site.

You will work a 3-shift pattern with days, afternoons and nights, ensuring health and safety standards are followed and maintenance tasks are completed on schedule. A proactive, safety‑minded candidate with good communication is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a production/machine operating environment.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Enthusiasm to join our expanding team.
• Demonstrates the drive to rise to challenges and solve problems.
• Committed to safety and continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to maximise efficiencies and minimise downtime.
• Achieve set productivity targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks per the plan; support improvements.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and SSOW.
