Job summary

Koin Limited in Dorset is seeking a Production Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate specialist manufacturing machinery in our production facility.

This hands-on role requires prior experience with industrial presses, setting up and changing over equipment, monitoring production, performing quality checks and adjusting as needed to meet exact standards. Comprehensive training will be provided, with opportunities to develop skills across additional equipment as our operation grows.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating industrial machinery in manufacturing/production.
• Strong understanding of safe machine operation and procedures.
• Mechanically minded with confidence working with industrial equipment.
• Ability to set up machines, adjust settings and changeovers.
• Good attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Able to follow detailed production instructions.
• Capable of identifying problems and escalating issues.
• Reliable, organized and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operate industrial production machinery.
• Operate hydraulic or mechanical press machinery as part of the manufacturing process.
• Monitor machinery and production throughout each manufacturing run.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers as required.
• Complete regular quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
• Identify and report production or machinery issues promptly.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and support fault finding where appropriate.
• Follow production instructions, operating procedures and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Maintain accurate production records where required.
• Keep machinery and the surrounding production environment clean, organised and safe.
• Support the wider Production team to achieve daily manufacturing requirements.

Role Overview

As a Production Machine Operator, you willbe responsible forthe safe and efficient operation of specialist manufacturing machinery within our production facility.

This is a hands-on role requiringpreviousexperienceoperatingindustrial machinery within a manufacturing or production environment. You willbe responsible forsetting up and operating machinery,monitoringproduction, carrying out qualitychecksandmaking adjustments toensure products are consistently manufactured to the required standard.

You will primarily work with industrial press machinery, which may include hydraulic or mechanical presses, with the potential to be trained tooperateadditionalspecialist equipment, including induction furnace technology.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded, takes pride in producing high-qualityworkand is comfortable taking responsibility for the machinery theyoperate.

• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Able to follow detailed production instructions accurately and consistently.
• Comfortable identifying problems and escalating machinery or production issues whenrequired.
• Reliable,organisedand able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previousexperienceoperatinghydraulic or mechanical presses.
• Experience working with induction furnaces or other heat-based manufacturing equipment.
• Experience carrying out basic machinery maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience working within a high-quality or precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience carrying out in-process quality inspections.
