Siemens is creating its first UK-based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground, we are starting to recruit nearly 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at our Manufacturing Facility. Follow-on work is expected to expand this number, along with site activities in maintenance and overhaul, demonstrating our long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.

We are looking for 4 Production Logistics Operatives to join our Logistics & Warehouse team at Goole.

You’ll make a difference by …

• Being a key member of a specialist team responsible for the safe movement of all materials around the site and within the production and assembly halls.
• Utilising a variety of standard and specialist MHE to ensure safety and support production activities.
• Working proactively with the team to resolve issues safely and escalate problems as necessary.

Your success will be grounded by …

• Proven experience of prioritising safety in operational environments.
• Experience working within an industrial or supply chain setting in a similar role.
• Knowledge of different types of MHE, their uses, and limitations.
• An understanding of supporting a production schedule.

It would also be helpful to have the following:

• Experience working with heavy machinery, such as cranes or shunting vehicles.
• Experience with SAP or similar WMS systems.
• Experience using automated stock management tools.
