Qualifications

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and organised individual to join our team as a Production & Logistics Assistant. Candidates must be well presented, have a good attitude, excellent numeracy skills, polite phone manner, IT skills, careful attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Experience in transportation or similar industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Arranging collections, deliveries and international shipments
  • Arranging fabric shipment to Europe, to ensure delivery is on time
  • Sending & tracking samples with European & UK factories
  • Liaising with UK workshops
  • Co-ordinating with our delivery & install team
  • Liaising with fabric & FR treatment houses
  • Processing orders & managing from start to finish throughout the production process
  • Tracking payments, sending balance request & invoices to clients
  • Sending & tracking samples & parcels via DHL the post office
  • Assisting with customer services - looking after client aftercare & resolving problems
  • Keeping the sales team updated with progress of orders/feeding back any delays to the client
  • After delivery client calls
  • Helping with general office duties - such as processing credit card payments, filing orders & post
  • Researching new products when required
  • Negotiating with suppliers on price
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent Numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills - spoken & written
  • Proficient IT skills with MS Office Suite - Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably SugarCRM
  • Previous clerical or admin experience is essential - ideally for a commercial company
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritise tasks
  • Good timekeeping
  • A sense of humour & team spirit!
