Production Line Leader – Food Manufacturing

Location: March, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £26,478 – £28,808 per annum (plus annual salary review)
Hours: 40 hours/week, alternating shifts (5:45am–2pm / 4:45pm–10pm, Monday to Friday)

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for production efficiency and team development? Join a long-established and growing specialist food packaging business as a Production Line Leader.

About the Role:

As a Production Line Leader, you’ll be responsible for ensuring your line meets planned volumes while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll play a key role in machine operation, compliance, staff coordination, and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage production lines to meet output targets and quality standards

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Uphold GMP and health & safety procedures at all times

Support line efficiency targets (aiming for 85%+) across varied product runs

Assist in machine setup and basic maintenance as needed

Identify training needs and help facilitate upskilling within your team

Contribute to a positive, safe, and productive working environment

About You:

Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

Confident in working with machinery and setting up equipment

Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards

Ambitious and motivated by team development and operational success
