Job Description:

Great opportunity to work as a Production Line Leader for one of the largest providers of fresh flowers to major supermarket chains throughout the UK.

Staffline is recruiting for Production Line Leader in Chatteris. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. Transport is available from Peterborough.

Pay rate:

  • Day shift: £13.78/hour
  • Overtime: £17.23/hour

This is a full-time, day-shift position, typically 10 hours per day, 4 days per week, on either Sunday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Friday. Working hours are 07:30 AM to 06:30 PM.

Flexibility to work night shifts during peak periods like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Christmas is required.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for suitable candidates.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the team to meet targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and customer specifications are met.
  • Manage daily operations and production schedules.
  • Provide training and ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and meet KPIs within budget.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for packaging.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
  • Keep accurate records of production data, waste, and returns.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Experience in fresh produce, food production, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Reliable, positive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Experience with safety training, Rubicon ERP, lean manufacturing, and UK retail environments is advantageous.

Additional requirements include flexibility to work in other areas or undergo training.
