Line Leader

Join our team as a Line Leader at our Packhouse facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the packing line operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to Compliance and Health & Safety rules.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform all start-up checks for the line.
- Coordinate with ODS, Chiller, and Machine Operator regarding job priorities and updates.
- Prepare and set up the line efficiently, ensuring all materials like packaging and labels are ready and checked by QC.
- Train packers, maintain line hygiene, and provide necessary job instructions to all staff on the line.
- Complete all paperwork timely and accurately.
- Continually monitor updates on the minus sheet.
- Order additional fruit and packaging as needed, ensuring QC checks before use.
- Ensure all packaging is removed from the line at the end of each job, returned to the packaging department, and the line is cleaned.
- Update the job status on the minus sheet as per SOP and report to the Packhouse Manager upon completion of all orders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good communication skills and a proficient level of English.
- Strong understanding of Maths.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the fruit industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):
- Completion of orders correctly and timely.
- Maintenance of legible and complete paperwork.
- Compliance with hygiene and Health & Safety rules.
- Effective management of packing line and staff.
