Are you ready to take the next step in your food manufacturing career? A leading food production business is on the hunt for a proactive, hands-on Assistant Production Supervisor to oversee operations in a high-risk area of the factory.

This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows the ins and outs of food safety compliance, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to drive performance, hygiene, and quality on the shop floor.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Champion food safety, hygiene, and GMP across your area.
  • Lead daily production operations — from de-bagging and cooking to chilling and dispatch.
  • Keep your team on point with clear direction, training, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure full compliance with CCPs, LCPs, and all documentation requirements.
  • Maintain audit-readiness at all times — be ready within 15 minutes!
  • Collaborate across departments to hit production targets and quality benchmarks.
  • Take ownership of hygiene standards and continuously seek improvements.

You'll Be Responsible For Legal Compliance Under:

  • The Food Safety Act 1990
  • Food Hygiene Regulations (England) 2006
  • Health & Safety at Work Act 1999
  • Weights and Measures Act 1963
  • Regulation (EC) 852/2004 & Regulation 834/2007
What Our Client Is Looking For:
  • Proven experience supervising teams in high-risk food production environments
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety, GMP, hygiene regulations, and traceability
  • Confident managing audits, due diligence records, and quality checks
  • A natural leader who can get the best out of their team under pressure
  • Detail-focused with sharp organisation and communication skills
Why Join This Role?

This isn't just another production job. It's a career-defining opportunity to make your mark in a forward-thinking, quality-driven food manufacturing business where compliance and continuous improvement are key.
