Production Lead — Print & Wide-Format Operations

Job summary

MTA Digital is growing and expanding its leadership with a newly created role reporting to the General Manager. Based in London, you will run the factory floor, schedule jobs, manage the production team, and ensure quality across all print formats.

You will oversee HP Indigo and EFI wide-format presses, drive cross-training, and collaborate closely with the Installation Manager to keep schedules aligned. A strong background in small- and large-format print is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in small-format print production.
• Experience managing or supervising a production team.
• Experience operating small and large format kit (Zund, guillotine, folding, saddle-stitching).
• Knowledge of HP Indigo, toner press, and EFI wide-format processes to instruct and oversee staff.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) for reviewing artwork.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day production team on the factory floor.
• Schedule and prioritise jobs across small- and large-format print runs.
• Quality control and troubleshooting on press.
• Oversee press operations: HP Indigo and EFI wide-format presses; guide the floor team.
• Oversee print finishing: guillotining, folding, saddle-stitching and laminating.
• Line management: performance, holidays and day-to-day staff.
• Coordinate with Installation Manager to align production and installation schedules.
