Job summary

Dex partners with a leading quantitative finance firm to hire a Quant Developer. You will design and build end-to-end software for live trading systems, simulation frameworks, and research tooling, sat near the quants to influence what the firm can explore.

You will own your work, shipping robust, tested systems and translating complex hypotheses into production signals, with autonomy and clear communication across technical and non-technical partners.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building production software in C# and/or Python.
• Strong object-oriented engineering skills with a track record of shipping robust, tested systems.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
• Genuine interest in applied problem-solving, particularly in quantitative finance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, testable software for live trading systems and simulation frameworks.
• Develop core modelling libraries and new research tooling from concept to production.
• Partner directly with quantitative analysts, translating complex hypotheses into production signals.
• Take end-to-end ownership of critical systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Contribute to an engineering group where technical decisions shape research capabilities.
