Job summary

The Best Connection Bedford is seeking a Production/Forklift Operative to join a busy yard environment. You will work with the production team to move building and landscaping materials safely, operate a 5-tonne counterbalance forklift, and perform quality checks.

Applicants should have labouring/production experience, a valid in-date forklift licence preferred, and be comfortable working outdoors on rotating day/night shifts; commuting to the site is required.

Qualifications

• Previous labouring and production experience.
• Valid in-date 5 tonne Counterbalance forklift licence preferred.
• Willing to work rotating days/nights.
• Able to commute to shift location.
• Manual handling and working outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to produce building/landscaping materials.
• Move stock and equipment with forklift around yard.
• Carry out housekeeping and safety checks.
• Ensure production targets are met.
• Report any quality concerns to production manager.
