Short Intro and About the Job

The Production Flow Scheduler is dedicated to ensuring the seamless execution of planning processes by effectively mitigating material shortage risks and optimizing short-term production scheduling. This role is pivotal in crafting detailed short-term production plans that maximize efficiency, deliver expected weekly volumes, and minimize downtime and material write-off.

The role of Production Flow Scheduler is to manage the execution function of planning from the availability & delivery of RM & PKG materials to the construction and delivery of the short-term production plan.

Nutricia Liverpool is facing significant structural change as volume demand passes the tipping point to make a change to organisational shift pattern to 24 hours, 5 days per week. This role provides focus on plan efficiency and delivery.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & KPI’S

  1. Construction of a detailed production plan in the short-term horizon that meets the business expectations regarding volumes, OE & write-offs.
  2. Ensuring that SFG are available for packing in line with agreed parameters, whilst critically maintaining flow of product through the factory.
  3. Minimise & monitor changes to the plan, ensuring that changes are appropriately communicated when necessary.
  4. Perform plan changes analysis and take proactive cross-functional actions to reduce them.
  5. Execution of the current week plan, reacting to challenges & changes in factory performance when required.
  6. Monitor material shortages and ensure the production plan is altered accordingly.
  7. Maintain effective relationships with Central Planning to remain aware of Risk SKUs so that Service Level is protected through any reactive rescheduling.
  8. Maintain effective relationships with the Production Shift Leaders.
  9. Maintain KPIs to drive performance and accuracy (Schedule Adherence, Performance to plan).
  10. Support maintenance of accurate Master Data within the planning system.
  11. Ensure that all processes within the role are accurately documented (SOP) and that these documents are current and live in our QC documentation system.
  12. Maintain training records, knowledge, and awareness of other Flow Scheduling Team roles in readiness to provide cover when necessary.
  13. Support the department’s roadmap delivery.
About You

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES NEEDED

  • Professionally experienced.
  • Educated to degree level or industry experienced/professional qualifications.
  • Previous experience in planning/scheduling environment considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing plant environment an advantage.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES NEEDED & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Financial aptitude and good business understanding.
