Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a Production Co-ordinator in Washington to keep production moving, solve problems quickly, and ensure the right parts and paperwork are in place on time.

You will coordinate production builds, support planning to meet customer due dates, and handle day-to-day issues with builds and delivery of parts. The role requires strong problem-solving, team collaboration, and effective communication with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking; comfortable troubleshooting when builds or parts don’t go as planned.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to act as a service champion.
• Clear communication skills, including when dealing with suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production builds with the wider team, working closely with Stores to ensure jobs are kitted to production plans.
• Support build planning to help ensure customer due dates are achieved.
• Tackle day-to-day issues that arise with builds or delivery of parts, escalating when necessary.
• Ensure production packs and related paperwork are completed, correctly stored/filed, and inspection-ready.
• Work alongside Purchasing to expedite urgent parts for production.
• Liaise with contractors for building maintenance and coordinate with the Service Engineer to issue and account for required stock for upcoming work.
• Manage first-line customer build-related complaints and raise quality concerns for non-conforming material/specifications, HSE incidents, or near misses.
• Handle supplier non-confirming parts, helping drive resolution.
• Maintain day-to-day stores workflow by addressing issues and updating the Operations Manager.
• Complete daily time sheets for the team, report overtime, and support consumables control-sharing details with Purchasing.
• Oversee daily health and safety activities on site, maintain excellent housekeeping, and support periodic full inventory checks.
• Perform final sign-off and inspections of finished goods.
