Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Production Engineering Manager in Portsmouth to lead the production engineering function across manufacturing. The role focuses on improving workflows, manufacturability, and continuous improvement in a bespoke environment.

You will drive DFM improvements with design engineers and work with fabrication, assembly, and test teams to resolve production issues while ensuring health and safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial fields.
• Experience in fabrication or engineered-to-order manufacturing.
• Strong lean manufacturing knowledge in low/medium volume production.
• Hands-on, practical engineering mindset.
• Experience with chillers, heat exchangers, HVAC, refrigeration or sheetmetal fabrication is beneficial.

About the Role

This is a key leadership role within manufacturing operations, responsible for driving production engineering performance across a busy, bespoke engineering environment. You will be central to improving how we build engineered products; focusing on efficiency, manufacturability, and continuous improvement across assembly and test processes.
