Job summary

PROPER Snacks seeks a Production Engineer to improve line performance, reliability and operational standards on the factory floor in Nuneaton. You will work with shift, technical, engineering and operations teams to identify losses, improve efficiency and reduce waste through data-driven problem solving.

This hands-on role requires using data, structured problem‑solving and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver sustainable improvements and build capability across manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills for manufacturing.
• Confident using data to identify opportunities, track performance and deliver measurable improvements.
• Excellent communication to influence and engage operational teams and stakeholders.
• Good project management and organisational skills to support improvement activity from idea to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate operational losses through data analysis and shop-floor engagement.
• Improve OEE, Right First Time, line reliability, productivity and waste reduction.
• Lead Kaizen events and focused improvement projects.
• Develop scopes, business cases and investment proposals for improvements.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and stakeholders during installation and commissioning of projects.
• Embed improvements into daily operations to deliver sustainable benefits.
