Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a Production Engineer for an advanced electronics manufacturing environment in the UK. The role covers full lifecycle support from prototype to field, with responsibilities across design for manufacturing, change management and risk assessment.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in electronics test and manufacturing engineering, knowledge of DFM/DFA, and strong problem-solving skills. Eligibility for SC clearance is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electronics test and manufacturing engineering.
• Working knowledge of DFM/DFA and electrical/mechanical assembly and test.
• Problem-solving experience (8D, A3, root cause analysis).
• Understanding of SPC data.
• Eligibility to obtain SC clearance (essential).

Responsibilities

• Component-level fault finding and structured root cause analysis on the production line.
• Writing and maintaining SOPs, control plans and FMEAs.
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI) against DFM/DFA criteria.

Production Engineer - Advanced Electronics Manufacturing

A market-leading manufacturer of high-reliability electronics products for aerospace, defence and industrial sectors is looking for a Production Engineer to join its Power engineering team.

This is a full lifecycle role. You'll support prototype build, process development and production, right through to end-of-life and field support, working across a portfolio that spans space, aerospace, oceanographic and medical imaging applications.
