Job summary

APRIL QUEST LIMITED is seeking a Production / Process Engineer to ensure production-readiness of designs and to drive process improvements across production and testing environments.

The role emphasises hands-on engineering across electronics and mechanical domains, with responsibility for documentation, SOPs and test development. A strong focus on RCA and process validation is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering background across mechatronics, electronics, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in production or test engineering environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production/test processes using RCA methods (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, FMEA).
• Process validation, CI and process development experience.
• Experience creating or maintaining SOPs, work instructions & process records.

Responsibilities

• Act as gatekeepers between engineering and operations to ensure designs are production-ready with documentation, processes and equipment.
• Provide production support, NPD and process improvement; ~40% focused on test equipment and test process development.

This team acts as gatekeepers between engineering & operations ensuring designs are production-ready with documentation, processes, and equipment. The majority of the time you will provide production support, NPD and process improvement with 40% focused on test equipment and test process development.

Essential Requirements of the Production / Process Engineer role

• Hands-on engineering background within mechatronics, electronics, mechanical, electrical engineering.
• Experience in either a production or test engineering environment.
• Experience troubleshooting production or test processes using RCA/Root Cause Analysis methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, Ishikawa, 8D, FMEA, PFMEA, FTA, Cause and effect analysis, DMAIC).
• Experience with process validation, CI and process development.
• Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation such as SOPs, work instructions & process records.

Desirable Requirements of the Production / Process Engineer role

• Electronics and PCB fault finding
• Experience with scripting / programming in Python
