Job summary

Bowmay Consulting is assisting an international engineering company in Rochdale to find a skilled Production Engineer. You will support all areas of production, optimise process capability and yield, and assist with routings, programmes, tooling, fixtures and costings.

Candidates should have a machining-biased apprenticeship to HNC/HND level, experience with 4- and 5-axis machining and CNC lathes, and solid reading of engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship biased in mechanical/production engineering to HNC/HND level.
• Experience with 4- and 5-axis machining and CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Project management experience.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• The role of Production Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production.
• Your expertise will optimise and improve process capability and yield.
• You'll provide support with routings, programmes, tooling, fixtures and technical support.
• You'll provide support with BOMs, production orders and costings.
• For this role, you'll need to be conversant with Solidworks, CAD, CAM and SAP.
