To contribute to the successful development and introduction of New Products into the business, reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager through the Product Lead Engineer. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering projects to contract value while maintaining plant issues related to SQCDM.

Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Meet timing and cost targets for all New Product Launches (NPL).
  2. Monitor, report, and ensure all costs are within budget.
  3. Liaise with customers and suppliers on cost and technical matters.
  4. Support project estimates and planning.
  5. Ensure processes meet capability targets and scrap levels as per the project charter.
  6. Produce technical reports for all pre-production builds as defined by the Product Lead Engineer.
  7. Provide training to manufacturing personnel for new projects.
  8. Conduct Risk Assessments for all equipment.
  9. Coordinate parts supply and builds, and produce build reports.
  10. Formulate and update build plans bi-weekly.
  11. Organize internal meetings.
  12. Design and implement capable manufacturing processes considering ergonomics, safety, and material flow.
  13. Lead tasks to meet NPL milestone requirements.
  14. Deliver manufacturing processes and transfer knowledge to the team.
  15. Contribute to product design optimizations for manufacturability (DFMA).
  16. Resolve manufacturing, production, and quality issues collaboratively.
  17. Ensure customer compliance through qualification and validation.
  18. Support Production Engineering staff and manufacturing issues as needed.
Person Specification:
  • Experience in automotive engineering functions (not essential).

Qualifications:
