About This Opportunity

Your work environment: CarnaudMetalbox Engineering is recruiting for a Production Engineer to join our highly skilled production engineering team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Your mission in Crown

Your main responsibilities include interpreting 3D models through the CAM system, creating CNC part programs for manufacturing parts on various CNC machine tools, and using post processors and simulation tools to verify code before release to production. You will demonstrate machine safety standards, and be proficient in offline and online programming, manufacturing methods, processes, tooling, and setup sheets. A solid understanding of (3D) CAD and CAM software, and proofing software such as Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth, is essential. Proficiency with Siemens NX or similar software is highly desirable.

About You

You must have a formal technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering at Level 3 or equivalent. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate technical information with internal and external stakeholders. You should be highly organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively within project teams. The ability to produce high-quality work, make sound judgments, and take initiative is essential.
