Production Engineer – Graduate Level

Newcastle under Lyme

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a career in Engineering and opportunity to grow and develop.
We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join a dynamic and technical team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering or studied at Degree level.

Working within a team, you will offer support to the manufacturing shop floor offering solutions.

  1. Develop and refine manufacturing processes.
  2. Identify efficiency improvements.
  3. Support the design transfer process.
  4. Ensure adherence to ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA regulations.
  5. Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices.
  6. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.
  7. Work closely with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with medical device regulations.
  8. Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and performance optimisation of assembly, welding, and testing equipment.
  9. Assist in integrating automation solutions to enhance production throughput.
  10. Train and support production teams on new processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  11. Assist other members of the Engineering staff with design reviews to ensure ‘design for manufacture’ principles are followed.
  12. Provide technical expertise for new product introduction and process validation.

Skills and Attributes required:

  1. Engineering HNC.
  2. A degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or design-based engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
  3. Technically aware and keen to learn new skills.
  4. Ability to make sound judgements.
  5. Able to work both as part of a team and alone.
  6. Good organisational skills.
  7. Experience in CAD (AutoDesk Inventor or similar).

The Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm
Friday 7.30am - 12.15pm
