Product/Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Kingswinford
Salary: 30,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:00am-5:00pm), Friday (8:00am-2:00pm)
Type: Permanent Opportunity

Are you a skilled Product/Manufacturing Engineer looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role? We are seeking a talented individual to drive new product design, development, and process improvements within a leading manufacturer in the passenger transport industry.


The Role:

As a Product/Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing innovative products, enhancing existing designs, and optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality. This role is crucial in ensuring products meet customer expectations and are produced to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. CAD Design - 2D & 3D Modelling using SolidWorks/AutoCAD
  2. New Product Development - from concept to production, also implementing new processes to improve manufacturing of their products to increase efficiencies.
  3. Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance
  4. Manufacturing Process Optimisation - analysing workflows, space utilisation, and efficiency
  5. Technical Support - troubleshooting production issues and providing hands-on assistance
  6. Process Improvement - standardising work methods and implementing best practices
  7. Project Management - overseeing design and development projects
  8. Customer Interaction - sometimes will be required to attend meetings and site visits for product assessments
  9. Collaboration - working closely with production, operations, and cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For:
  1. CAD 2D/3D experience - SolidWorks / AutoCAD proficiency is essential
  2. Strong engineering background - with relevant qualifications
  3. Manufacturing and Assembly experience required.
  4. Understanding of manufacturing processes and technical specifications
  5. Problem-solving mindset with a logical and analytical approach
  6. Ability to manage projects, liaise with stakeholders, and lead process improvements
