Job summary

A key engineering consultancy in High Wycombe seeks an enthusiastic Production Engineer. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, capable of bridging the gap between design and production. Responsibilities include providing engineering support and designing Jigs and Fixtures from CAD drawings. Knowledge of automated production lines is advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar Production or Manufacturing role.
• Experience in reading CAD drawings.
• Familiarity with automated production lines is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide Engineering support across all aspects of manufacturing operations.
• Facilitate the handover from the Engineering and Design teams to manufacturing.
• Design Jigs & Fixtures based on CAD drawings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Production Engineer to join a key client in High Wycombe.

Overview

This role would suit someone with at least 2 years' experience in a hands on Production or Manufacturing role to be the go between for the Design department and Production and Manufacturing team. Any experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role previously for a company that designs for manufacture is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• The Production Engineer will be providing Engineering support across all aspects of the manufacturing operations and facilitating the handover from the Engineering and Design teams to the manufacturing department.
• Any experience in BOM\'s and implementing any manufacturing documentation will be very helpful
• Read and understand CAD drawings to either design Jigs & Fixtures as well as ensure that designs are feasible and can be manufactured correctly
• Any machining or hands on engineering skills will be very helpful - lathe, workshop tools, milling etc.

Key Attributes / Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years' experience in a similar Production or Manufacturing role as an Engineer or Technician
• Have experience working in a Manufacturing or Engineering company previously
• Experience in reading CAD drawings
• Any knowledge of automate production lines or similar is ideal
