Production Engineer

Location: Rochdale

Salary: GBP 35,000 - GBP 45,000

About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their team due to ongoing growth. The role involves supporting sales and production teams with client projects and new business opportunities.

Requirements

1. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
2. Experience in a commercial or technical sales environment is advantageous.
3. Proficiency with CAD packages is essential.
4. Knowledge of Autodesk PowerShape is highly advantageous.
5. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems is essential.
6. Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement is advantageous.
7. Familiarity with ISO 9001 (2015) standards or equivalent is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the technical sales team with cost and pricing analysis for existing products and new projects.
2. Provide detailed specifications to support process and procedure development by engineering and production teams.
3. Coordinate with customers and suppliers to facilitate project implementation.
4. Evaluate quoted prices against actual production costs.
5. Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, purchasing, and sales departments on project administration.
6. Work with production and quality teams to improve processes for existing products.
7. Manage sample processes internally and with customers.
8. Maintain strict control of project documentation and electronic data files.
