Salary: GBP42,000 GBP45,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, Days

is working in partnership with a large, well-established manufacturer of high-volume consumer products. Due to continued investment and a strong focus on process improvement, we are now recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join their growing team at their modern facility in the Leicester area.
Job Description:
As a Production Engineer, you will play a leading role in driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. This is a hands-on, process-focused position where your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams, you will help shape and refine best practices across the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and implement process improvement initiatives to optimise performance and reduce waste
Carry out root cause analysis to resolve technical, safety, and quality issues
Develop and trial production changes to improve product quality and manufacturing reliability
Create and maintain standard operating procedures, training guides, and process documentation
Support the development of operator knowledge through coaching and collaboration
Identify and implement changes to equipment, systems, or methods that improve OEE and reduce downtime
Support lean manufacturing activities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
Familiar with lean tools such as 5 WHY, root cause analysis, and TPM
Understanding of Six Sigma or other structured improvement approaches (preferred)
Practical and analytical approach to solving production problems
Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels
Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and within teams
