Production Engineer required for Cheltenham based manufacturing company paying c£39,000 + 25 days holiday + the bank holidays, pension and DiS. Working hours Monday to Friday, with an early finish on a Friday.

Our client supplies to the automotive, aerospace, gas sectors as well as small independent companies.

As Production Engineer for this company your duties will include the following:

• improving manufacturing methods of existing products
• liaising with manufacturing for new products
• investigating and implementing actions with regards to the quality of products
• involvement in R&D projects to ensure our client maintains their standard within the market
• design of tool, fixtures and machine parts using SolidWorks 3D CAD system
• generating CNC programmes using SolidCAM software and supporting implementation
• providing technical support to the sales department as required
• creating costing models to support new business generation
• investigate any operational problems that impact production efficiency's

The successful Production Engineer will need to have experience in the following areas:

• 5S initiatives in manufacturing and machine build
• previous experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment
• experience of using SolidWorks and SolidCAM and be able to generate CNC programs using SolidCAM software
