Job description

An exciting company who develop technology for the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific industries are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to provide support to manufacture. They are a global company who work on some of the highest profile projects in the world.

Duties:

  • Drive efficiency, optimise processes, and guarantee products meet stringent quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the product manufacturing cycle.
  • Analyse production workflows, implement efficiency improvements, and reduce waste to increase overall productivity.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform root cause analyses for defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing team, troubleshooting and resolving production issues to root cause.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Experience:

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or similar is essential.
  • Must have extensive experience of Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies such as 8D, 6 Sigma are essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
  • Candidates must hold a British passport.
  • Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 4.30pm on Friday.
