Job summary

Cinesite, a leading VFX and animation company, seeks a VFX Production Coordinator to manage project schedules and support team communication. This role involves liaising with various departments, ensuring timely deliveries, and driving daily reviews. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in the VFX industry and a solid understanding of production tools.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in VFX industry at Production Assistant level or higher.
  • Experience with VFX Production tools such as Shotgun or ftrack.

The Role

As a VFX Production Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of a project. Alongside supporting rounds, dailies & client reviews, you will also be responsible for maintaining the schedule across your department/team, ensuring that deliveries are on track and targets are clear.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Liase with the Production Assistant, Editorial & DSA teams to ensure all material received from the client is correctly downloaded & shared with the team.
  2. Review weekly targets & schedule requirements with the Lead to ensure all tasks are assigned and communicated clearly within the team.
  3. Work closely with a team of artists to maintain a delivery schedule and check in on task progress via rounds.
  4. Drive dailies sessions to ensure material is presented according to deliveries, alongside communicating targets so time remaining is clear.
  5. Take notes in dailies/rounds/client reviews, share feedback with the team & update in the Production database.
  6. Ensure the Production scheduling database is kept up to date with assignments, task delivery dates, and accurate ETAs.
  7. Escalate potential schedule delays to the Production Manager and strategize with the Lead to find solutions to keep deliveries on track.
  8. Communicate clearly & effectively with upstream and downstream departments so all teams are aware of when material will be ready & can be picked up.
  9. Gather & prepare material for client sends alongside the Production Assistant so all material is ready to be processed.
  10. Help chase & escalate any show blockers such as software tickets or renders that could impact delivery.
  11. Monitor and support the render farm to prioritize critical deliveries & clarify render requirements.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the VFX industry at Production Assistant level or higher (within either Film or Episodic team)
  • Experience working with VFX Production tools such as Shotgun or ftrack
