Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Northern Ireland is seeking a Production Operator to ensure the smooth running of the milling plant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food production, strong communication skills, and be familiar with computer-operated machinery. This position involves rotating shifts covering both days and nights with an average of 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the smooth running of the mill in line with customer requirements.

The Role:

To operate the milling plant through the shift;

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Mill- to be kept free from choke and spills and to follow the mill cleaning schedule;

Accurately produce oat products to customer specifications;

Complete and record analysis accurately for Quality and Safety purposes keeping samples where appropriate;

To follow specific procedures for milling Organic Oats.

The Person:

Previous production experience in a food manufacturing environment;

Experience of computer operated machinery;

Experience of using Microsoft Office packages;

Have excellent communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

Previous experience running an oat mill;

Food related qualification e.g. HACCP and Food Hygiene;

The shift pattern will be a three on three off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights with an average of 42 hours per week.
