We are currently looking for a Production Controller

About the role…

This role involves overseeing production processes, tracking inventory, liaising with different departments, and ensuring the timely availability of materials for production. The role will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of production activities and supporting the production planning function.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Monitor production schedules in line with business demand and liaise with manufacturing to ensure available resources.
  2. Monitor production timelines by tracking the progress of orders and report schedule progress as necessary.
  3. Coordinate with the production team to resolve any issues that may cause delays in production.
  4. Use of the companies SAP ERP system to release and manage production orders.
  5. Control of completed production orders in line with traceability requirements.
  6. Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient stocks are available to support production schedule.
  7. Liaise with procurement, MP&L, and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components are aligned with the manufacturing plan.
  8. Communicate any delays, disruptions, or changes in the production schedule to relevant teams and management.
  9. Assist in identifying areas of inefficiency or bottlenecks in the production process and support initiatives to improve workflow and productivity.
  10. Ensure adherence to production standards and quality specifications.
  11. Maintain and organize production documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  12. Support the production planning team with day-to-day administrative tasks as required.
  13. Manage change through BOM and routing changes resulting from design modifications or process improvement involving relevant stakeholders.
  14. Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline BOM creation, routing processes, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  15. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization while maintaining high-quality standards.
  16. Generate reports on BOM status, routing performance, and manufacturing efficiency for management review.

What we’re looking for…

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Experience and understanding of SAP
  • Knowledge and practical experience of problem-solving techniques
