Production Controller salary: £35,250 - £39,250

Production Controller Overview:

• Manage customer orders from receipt through to finished product delivery
• Keep production schedules, run lists and capacity plans accurate and up to date
• Liaise directly with customers on order status, delivery dates and priorities
• Work closely with engineers and machine shop teams to keep work progressing
• Take ownership of on-time delivery across your assigned customer accounts

This Production Controller role is with an established precision engineering business in Poole, supporting customer orders through a busy manufacturing environment. The Production Controller will sit between customers and production, making sure requirements are understood, schedules are accurate and orders continue moving through the machine shop against agreed delivery dates.

This Production Controller position needs someone who is organised, confident dealing with customers and comfortable working closely with engineering and production teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Production Controller role

As Production Controller, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of customer orders from receipt through to final delivery. You’ll maintain accurate production information, monitor progress against schedules and identify potential delays early enough to take action.

The Production Controller will also attend production meetings, work closely with the machine shop and provide customers with clear updates on order status and delivery performance.

Day-to-day responsibilities of a Production Controller

• Experience with ERP/MRP or production planning systems
• Knowledge of capacity planning and production scheduling
• Experience monitoring OTD or similar manufacturing KPIs
