Job summary

A growing engineering firm in Northern Ireland is seeking a Production Controller. In this role, you will track production metrics, analyse data for improvements, prepare reports, and ensure efficient production scheduling. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments and strong analytical and IT skills. The salary is competitive, ranging from £30k to £35k based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience in production planning/scheduling within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • Strong IT skills, ideally including the use of ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

Track production metrics such as labour efficiencies, cycle time and other KPI’s as required.

Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare reports on production performance for management review.

Schedule production to both maximise efficiency and meet customer’s requirements.

Confirm production completion date to sales, on a timely basis & within agreed time frame.

Raise works orders for finished product and run MRP process to generate works orders and distribute all accordingly.

Create new BOM’s on ERP system, check and approve new BOMs for production.

Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Criteria:

Previous relevant experience in production planning / scheduling within a manufacturing / engineering environment

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data

Strong IT skills, ideally including the use of ERP systems

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Salary is in the region of £30-35k depending upon experience.
