Overview

Production Controller

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated individual who would like to join our Production Team as a Production Controller. Previous experience of working in management within FMCG is essential. The position is full time, onsite and working rotating shifts (6am – 2pm/2pm – 10pm).

The Candidate

Ideally the candidate will be a self-starting, motivated individual with great organisational skills, a good eye for detail and experience in reporting on key production metrics. Problem solving and fantastic written and verbal communication will be critical. You will be working within a team and whilst you will have your separate responsibilities, shift and production lines you will also be required to support other production areas within the business. Therefore, as an individual you need to be proactive and hands on – driven by a desire to ensure that all key tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled and that the best possible results are achieved for both customers and internal stakeholders. Bradburys is a fast-paced environment so being able to respond with speed, confidence and clarity will be a necessity.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Production Control: Oversee shift production, driving and managing processes to ensure efficiency, quality & GMP standards are met consistently.
• Compliance: Adherence to stringent food safety regulations, company policies, and quality control measures.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to improve run rates, reducing product waste & giveaway, control of labour vs costed standards whilst maintaining controls of safety, quality and throughput timeously.
• Managing & Leading Staff: Lead, motivate, and manage production teams, ensuring staff are performing their duties to the highest standards possible Coach and develop operatives via the SOP and WI criteria to ensure a skilled and developing workforce
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile and provide regular production performance reports plan attainment, yield control & process changeover compliance
• Liaise with Departments: Collaborate with procurement, quality assurance and logistics teams to ensure alignment and understanding

• Experience of working within food manufacturing at First Line Manager level or above
