Job summary

Quality Personnel in Milton Keynes is seeking a Production Control / Planning Technician to manage the day-to-day flow of materials through production, translating orders into achievable production plans and schedules.

You will coordinate requirements, monitor progress, maintain controlled paperwork and support ISO 9001:2015 compliance, focusing on accuracy and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Experience in production control/planning or materials coordination.
• Understanding of production processes and quality requirements.
• Experience with controlled documentation and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer orders into production plans and schedules.
• Coordinate production requirements and manage day-to-day flow of work.
• Liaise with teams to maintain priorities and monitor progress.
• Monitor order progress and identify material shortages.
• Prepare and maintain production paperwork and documentation.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm

We are recruiting for a Production Control / Planning Technician to join our client based in Milton Keynes.

The role will involve managing the day-to-day flow of materials through production, ensuring orders are planned and scheduled in line with production priorities, quality requirements and agreed timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

• Translating customer orders into production plans and schedules.
• Coordinating production requirements and managing the day-to-day flow of work.
• Liaising with relevant teams to ensure priorities are maintained.
• Monitoring order progress and identifying any material shortages that could affect production.
• Preparing and maintaining production paperwork and controlled documentation.
• Ensuring processes are completed in line with specifications, procedures and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate production plans, schedules and stock records.
• Supporting stock checks and material reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
• Assisting with internal and external audits in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with experience in production control, planning or materials coordination, ideally with a good understanding of production processes and quality requirements.

You’ll also have:

• Experience using production or planning systems.
• Experience working with controlled documentation.
• An understanding of ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
