Monday - Friday, 6.30am - 3pm

£26,000 per annum

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Production Chef to join our dedicated catering team in Castleford. You will be responsible for producing outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients in this prestigious contract.

About the role

• Services: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Hospitality, and Vending
• Work within a team of 7, serving up to 400 customers on site
• Plan, organize, innovate, and oversee the preparation and cooking of food to uphold the company's reputation for quality
• Support our sustainability mission to achieve net zero by 2030
• Create a positive kitchen environment where your team feels welcomed, supported, and developed
• Focus on service execution and delivery excellence
• Drive sales through menu planning and promotions
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food safety, HS, and COSHH in the kitchen
• Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary controls
• Maintain a center of excellence in food and customer service

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within contract catering
• Ability to motivate and manage a team to deliver consistent standards
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills
• Passionate about hospitality, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Inspiring team leader with a progressive mindset
• Understanding of profit margins, purchasing policies, budgeting, and food costing
• Experience with stock and waste control
• Knowledge of food management systems, HACCP, Food Safety, Health and Safety, Natasha's Law, Allergens, and Manual Handling
