Production Cell Leader
Birstall

Full Time | Permanent

Be a frontline leadership role encompassing full process ownership of the day to day operation of production. Exceptional service delivery to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement of this role along with people management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed

• Must be PC and SAP literate.
• Experience of leading a team in a Production environment.
• Good communications skills.
• Good knowledge of company procedures.
• Good decision making and problem solving skills.
• Good leadership skills.
• Customer orientated approach to management.
• Knowledge and experience of health and safety, preferably IOSH standard.

Principal Accountabilities

• To manage the day to day Production operation in an efficient, cost effective manner to contribute to the profitability of the company and compliance to legislation.
• Manage staff within the department in line with policies, procedures and the demands of the business to provide a high level of customer service.
• Absence management
• Carry out investigations/disciplinary
• Maintain a supervisory presence in the area to ensure compliance to company policies, departmental procedures and productivity targets.
• To assist with resource planning to maximise efficiency and ensure operational success.
• Continuously review the Production operations to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs.
• Work in a manner that promotes good housekeeping to ensure compliance to SHEQ criteria, health and safety legislation and 5s standards and attend Culture Tours.
• To assist in the recruitment, selection and training of new or update current staff when required, to maintain high levels of quality, efficiency and safety throughout the workforce.
• KPI’s: Achieve daily targets, OEE, Service levels and Hygiene
• Carry out PTW when required.

Dimensions

• Work on a night shift from Monday to Thursday.
• Responsibility for managing the day to day operations of the Production departments with operations active on night shift.
• Responsibility for the management of employees.
