Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines for blending liquids.
  • Complete detailed paperwork for blends.
  • Initiate improvements in the manufacturing process.
  • Load and unload drums for dispatch.
  • Understand picking sheets for customer requirements.
  • Handle materials manually, up to 35 kilos.
  • Use hot air tools to seal film tightly.

Job description

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Blender operative to work for our client based in Tyseley, Birmingham

Working hours:Monday to Friday 7.30am till 16.30
FLT desirable (enhanced rate)
Location
: Birmingham B11
Length of the assignment: Temp to Perm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and tend machines to mix/blend liquids as per production specification, including the weighing/measuring of materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Accurately complete paperwork detailing the ingredients used in each blend along with all additional instructions and sign offs.
  • Identify and, in consultation with the Production Supervisor, Production Chemist or Production Manager, initiate improvements in the manufacturing process in terms of quality, cost, yield and production throughput.
  • Loading /Unloading drums to be loaded on pallets for dispatch
  • Ability to understand picking sheets based on the customers requirement
  • Manual Handling up to 35 kilo
  • Use hot air tools or heat guns to securely seal film, ensuring tight conformity and no gaps
