Job description

Production Assistant Temporary 6-month contract
  • This is a part-time position that requires the candidate to be in-person two days per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, over an 6-month period
  • Assist in all aspects related to the reprint and co-edition production process.
  • Support the production team in checking plotters, running sheets, and other colour assets.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to the production process.
  • Collaborate with internal Editorial, Design, and International Editions team members.
  • Attend and contribute towards all in-house meetings as necessary
Skills and Experience Required
  • Studying, or having recently completed a publishing degree or related qualification .
  • A genuine interest in the publishing industry, ideally in production.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a keen eye for quality and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with colleagues across departments as well as external suppliers.
  • A team player with a willingness to work as part of a small team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Adobe publishing software is advantageous.
