Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group are seeking a Production Assistant in Wick, UK to help ensure assemblies meet strict standards. You will measure, cut, coil and crimp components and pressure test finished items to the stated spec.

You will unload freight, identify and check in deliveries, pick parts against orders, and pack for courier with full paperwork. A background in manufacturing or engineering and hands-on use of hand tools and workshop machinery are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment.
• Working confidently from written specifications and sales order detail.
• Accurate measuring, picking and record keeping.
• Comfortable using hand tools and workshop machinery.

Responsibilities

• Unload, identify and check in freight and container deliveries, completing all goods-in paperwork and putting stock in the right location
• Measure, cut, coil and crimp assemblies in line with stated crimp and probe diameters
• Pressure test finished assemblies and print the certification
• Pick components and finished items accurately against sales order requirements, including product type, quantity, coil length and end connections
• Pack and address consignments correctly and have them ready in good time for courier or freight collection, with all paperwork included
• Build a working knowledge of product type, location and characteristics so you can spot non-conformances
