Job Description:

Your mission is to facilitate production processes and assist the Product Manager.

What will the role entail?

  • Product Development / Design Support:
  • Prepare and follow up on design / proto samples / salesmen sample tech sheets.
  • Work closely with design on processing all seasonal salesman samples and all proto requests.
  • Assist in proto fabrics and trims order, request lab dips, and update lab dip folder, wash panels, and manage the proto development cycle.
  • Support product manager with liaising with factories on tech packs and design details.
  • Manage Salesman Samples from initial order to delivery into showrooms, follow up on delivery, quality, PO/kimball dispatch info, and sample allocation.
  • Prepare and follow up on development sheets for new accessories and trims.
  • Liaise with QC and Design to determine pressing & packing for all styles based on fabrication, construction, and garment type.
  • Obtain care instructions from mills and communicate to the technical team for bulk care label instructions.
  • Update product bible and control charts for developments and production.
  • Manage line book details, organize swatches, colour standards, and control samples for approval.
  • Create seasonal merchandising/buy boards with sketches, style numbers, and colours.
  • Input basic info into the bible, including style codes, descriptions, and shipping details.
  • Raise and issue purchase orders for salesman samples.

Production:

  • Chase bulk delivery, sample reports, and production cut dates, negotiate and maintain deliveries.
  • Solve production queries on fabrics and trims with advice from the product manager.
  • Update Bible/control charts with prices, delivery dates, and supplier info.
  • Communicate changes affecting purchase orders to relevant managers.
  • Request and update supplier payment and contact details.
  • Chase salesman samples into the business.
  • Perform general admin within the department.
  • Maintain colour standards, lab dip folder, trims, and fabric files.
