Our Production Team seeks a Production Assistant for our Farshore division. This permanent role offers a great opportunity for someone interested in entering book production within a forward-thinking company.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure reprints are produced within budget by estimating costs, negotiating with suppliers, and processing invoices.
  • Run reprint costings using accurate information for decision-making.
  • Manage schedules for co-editions and reprints, from pre-press to delivery, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Manage co-editions reprints, including pricing, scheduling, and file approvals.
  • Coordinate with repro, print, and freight suppliers globally to ensure effective production.
  • Liaise with warehouse and client services on stock issues and title releases.
  • Manage archiving processes to ensure product availability via Cumulus.
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation and social standards, especially regarding licensors.
  • Manage eBook production and corrections where relevant.
  • Maintain accurate records within the production system.
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers.
  • Check proofs and ensure printing matches approved proofs or previous copies.
  • Communicate with creative and commercial teams regularly.
  • Assist other team members to manage workload and departmental needs.
  • Ensure technical files are current for reprints and co-editions.
