Band 3 Pharmacy Production Assistant - Pharmacy Aseptic Services

37.5 Hours - Hours will be between 8.00am and 6.00pm (Monday to Friday) and weekend cover will be on a rota basis.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Aseptic Services Unit at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool. The post holders must have the ability to supervise, develop support services, and implement change, along with being responsible for delivering support activities to the aseptic service.

The successful applicants will carry out senior duties in the Chemotherapy Unit, assisting with an expanding cytotoxic reconstitution service.

We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant with an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Practice (achieved or in progress) and previous experience in Pharmacy Aseptic Services.

The post holders will be responsible for ensuring raw materials are sent into production, ordering, receiving, and maintaining stocks within the department. They will also compile documentation for quality control and assurance, participate in volume checking, and assist in chemotherapy dispensing within the sterile chemotherapy unit.

You will be a good team player, possess strong organizational skills, be able to work independently and under pressure, and work well in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be based in the Aseptic Department, rotating through aseptic dispensing of chemotherapy, assembly and checking of raw materials, and acting as an Internal Checker when appropriate.
