Job Description

Key Responsibilities

As part of our manufacturing and production team supporting defence systems, your responsibilities include:

  • PCB modification and repair
  • Wiring to drawings and instructions
  • Building and testing assemblies
  • Manufacturing bespoke cable assemblies, including fibre optics
  • Supporting prototype builds with production engineering
  • Repair, refurbishment, and upgrades
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
We seek a trustworthy, dependable individual with experience in:
  • Collaborating with Ultra staff on production and equipment builds
  • Level 3 qualification in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field with manufacturing experience
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
  • Quick learner, agile, innovative problem-solver
  • The ability to obtain UK security clearance and meet all requirements for UK government products.
Personal Attributes

You should be a dedicated, hardworking individual willing to support the production team, with:

  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and ambassadorial role for the apprenticeship scheme
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including concise reporting
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance with no caveats
Typically, a High School Diploma or equivalent, with 0+ years of related experience.

Relocation Support

We offer financial support for relocation on a case-by-case basis, adhering to HMRC guidelines.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for the necessary security clearance due to the sensitive nature of our programmes.
