We're looking for a Production and Operational Performance Manager to join the team in Bournemouth on a full-time permanent basis. You will receive a salary between £49,472 - £55,269 plus a range of excellent company benefits + rewards.

About the role:

Providing operational oversight of the Bournemouth region's operational and environmental performance, specifically focused on EPA compliance, including but not limited to abstraction and discharge management, compensation adherence, MCERTS and WINEP.

You are the operational interface with central teams (Water Resources, Natural Resources, Service Improvement and Water Quality), and the first point of contact for tactical EA liaison.

You will collaborate with SWW to work on integration, promoting and leading on the 'best of the best'.

What you'll be doing:

  • Being accountable for compilation and monitoring of Bournemouth ODI performance with associated reporting, including input into Annual Performance Reporting.
  • Taking responsibility for the re-creation of the Bournemouth Control Room and overall management of the Bournemouth region's Incident Response structure.
  • Representing Bournemouth region operations for integration activities across the group, particularly focused on Control Room and IT.
  • Leading operational contact for the Environment Agency and related Pennon departments.
  • Ensuring key operational, environmental and ODI reports are underpinned by robust methodologies and delivering to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring operational delivery of Water Resources and Natural Resources plans.
  • Driving operational delivery of catchment management plans.
  • Ensuring the Bournemouth region performs to a compliant standard on abstraction and compensation, identifying potential risks of breaches and implementing investigations to near misses or breaches.
  • Working with central teams on any required changes to existing licenses.
  • Preparing the region for EPA compliance.
  • Participate in Standby requirements.

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience gained through work.
  • Operational control room experience.
  • Managing incidents.
  • Internal and external performance reporting capability.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities to meet business needs and meet deadlines.
  • Planning, project management and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of dealing with individuals at senior level within an organization.
