Job summary

Planet is a global technology and payments solutions provider with its HQ in London. This role leads the design, delivery, and ongoing behavior of production AI workflows that automate internal processes across HR, Finance, Operations, and CRM.

You will be accountable for the quality of decisions by building agents, prompts, and retrieval pipelines, and improving them with feedback to ensure reliable, auditable AI.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems.
• Experience integrating APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience designing prompts and retrieval pipelines.
• Understanding model evaluation, monitoring and feedback.
• Product-minded and pragmatic about AI in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade AI workflows that integrate across internal systems (HR, Finance, Operations, CRM).
• Implement orchestration logic — triggers, retries, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Develop and maintain AI agents, prompts, retrieval pipelines, and decision logic.
• Own model behavior in production: accuracy, failure modes, edge-case handling.
• Iterate on model performance using evaluation frameworks and real-world usage data.
• Define and track success metrics such as accuracy, resolution rate, and time saved.
• Partner with Data Engineering on shared platforms and contribute to standards for AI systems.
