PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT, PLIMSOLL

Competitive Salary - Depending on Experience

Fixed Term - 12 month Contract

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Plimsoll is looking for a Production Accountant. The successful candidate will be an experienced and accomplished individual with the ability to multitask in a creative environment.

This is a pivotal role in a fast paced environment in a growing company. We need someone with an eye for detail and the tenacity to see projects and tasks through to resolution. This role will be working closely with the Head of Finance, Production Managers and Production Executives to ensure a fully integrated production finance function.

Duties will include:

• Managing cash-flows and producing regular cash flow updates
• Assisting with budget preparation and checking integrity of budgets
• Producing recoverability/profitability analysis
• Regular reviews of Cost Reports including costs to complete and preparation of Final Cost reports for delivery to broadcasters
• Managing the recharging and recoverable process to productions
• Dealing with production audits
• Monthly reconciliations of cost reports with accounting system
• Work with Production Team to understand financial implications of editorial changes and ensure they are communicated
• Provide support, training and back up to the production team as required
• Regular meetings with Production Managers
• There will be occasional long hours, tight deadlines and constantly changing priorities

Key skills:

• Experience of working on factual productions with multi million pound budgets
• Experience using PMI system (preferable)
• Experience with HETV tax credit calculations (preferable)
• Highly organised, proactive and a strong communicator
